Situated at
Pleubian on a peninsula bathed by the sea, SETALG enjoys a privileged
geographical position in the middle of the largest seaweed field in
Europe. Here, over 800 different species of seaweed grow over thousands
of hectares.
For several decades, SETALG's experience has developed around the
production of seaweed powders which we sell as a raw material for many
different markets.
SETALG's industrial processes involve several essential stages in order
to transform 8000 tonnes annually of seaweed harvested in the Brehat
Archipelago.

The products supplied by SETALG are entirely natural and are offered in
various forms :
from the whole plant, through various formulations, to a micronised
powder.
This list is far from exhaustive because the plant resources, which are
the origin of SETALG's products are rich in variety (brown, red and
green algae) and in composition (trace elements, vitamins, mucilage,
pigments, polyunsaturated fatty acids, amino acids...)

SETALG, European market leader, supplies a range of brown, red and green
seaweed flours suited to the following markets : the pharmaceutical
industry, cosmetic laboratories, thalassotherapy, herbal medicines,
animal feed, the agro-food business and agriculture.
At first, the seaweeds are dried, then ground to a powder of 40 microns
to 10 mm particle size according to the required fineness. These powders
are then packaged in airtight bags from 10 to 40 kg.
